My 17-Year Journey in Music
From being a fan in the crowd to sharing the stage globally, my music is a reflection of my roots, my culture, and everything I have learned along the way.
A life-changing announcement. Being selected as an official mentee for the legendary UK Drum & Bass label RAM Records was a dream come true. This journey of 7 years shows that dedication and passion pay off.
After signing a contract with Saregama, I wanted to share that success with my community. Celebrating with these beautiful souls was a truly blessed moment. It’s a reminder to always stay grounded and spread happiness.
My original track 'DRM' was part of the 'FLOODLIGHT' compilation on Bandcamp to raise funds for flood relief in Pakistan. It was an honour to see the global Drum & Bass community come together for a good cause.
Announcing my first tour of Australia. This was a huge milestone, and it all started with the love and support from my community. I am forever grateful for the opportunities that allow me to share my music with the world.
About My Journey in Music
Building a career in Drum & Bass hasn't been a linear path. From watching my heroes perform years ago to being selected as an official mentee for RAM Records, I have learned that true sound comes from authenticity. I don't just teach music; I open up my creative process, my studio, and the technical workflows that have kept me going for 17 years.
My journey is rooted in the belief that music is a form of giving back. Whether I am producing a track that fuses Indian Classical and Marathi folk with high-energy Drum & Bass, or leading a workshop, my focus remains on the 'dnbnaari' identity—bringing a woman's perspective to a male-dominated space.
The Path So Far
- Professional Milestones: Signing with Saregama and completing an international tour in Australia were huge moments, but they were never just about me. They were about the community that supported me when I had very little.
- The #dnbnaari Sound: My sound is a hybrid—a mix of tabla, sitar, and electronic bass music. It is about honoring my Maharashtrian roots while pushing the boundaries of what electronic music can sound like in India.
- Giving Back: For me, success is best when it is shared. I use my platform to support education and donate to schools, and I believe in using music as a tool to spread kindness and positive vibes.
Why I Teach
I know what it feels like to struggle with self-doubt or feel stuck in a creative rut. I have been there for 17 years. In my workshops, we don't just cover Ableton Live or DJing techniques; we experiment, we mess up, and we figure things out together. If you are looking to find your own voice, slice your first vocal sample, or learn to harmonize Indian scales with electronic beats, I am here to help you get there.
