About Montessori Preschool Program
I create a space where little ones walk in with curiosity and leave with a smile. Our Montessori preschool program is all about letting kids explore - not just sit and listen.
How We Do Montessori
- Kids choose their own activities and set their own pace. Nobody’s rushed here.
- Our classrooms are organized so everything's easy to find and put away. Children pick up responsibility and independence naturally.
- Mixed-age groups mean older kids help out the younger ones, like big brothers and sisters. That’s how learning sticks.
What Happens Each Day
- Practical life skills are big here. Kids make snacks (banana lollipops, tricolour salad), garden, and clean up their space. Real stuff they’ll use at home too.
- Sensory-based preschool materials like the Pink Tower and Brown Stair let children play and learn about shapes, sizes, and sounds.
- For language, kids use sandpaper letters - they often learn to write before they read. Math is hands-on too, with golden beads and abacus.
Culture & Creativity
- We celebrate festivals simple but meaningful. Clay Ganeshas, homemade flags, local music and dance.
- Art, music, and free play are everyday things. Dance sessions range from pretending to be butterflies to dinosaurs.
Beyond Classroom Walls
- Kids go on field trips - supermarket shopping, nature walks. We like getting out and seeing how things work.
- Deep dive projects, like our "Coconut Chronicles," connect learning to the real world and get parents involved.
Parents Welcome
- You can come in and see your child in action. It’s a partnership here, not just a drop-off.

My Story
We’re Smiti Montessori House of Children. Our thing? Watching tiny kiddos walk in, some clutching amma’s hand, eyes big with worry. Give it a week – suddenly, they’re running in, grinning, ready to explore. Festivals here aren’t just about sweets, we make pookalam, sing stories, whip up tri-colour salads. Every day’s a mix of giggles, culture, and those first steps toward independence. That’s the Smiti vibe.
