About A Stage for Every Voice: Performances & Open Mics
Our performance setup is designed for intimacy, not just formality. We provide a 10x8 ft raised stage equipped with a PA system and spot lighting, but the real highlight is our flexible seating, mixing chairs with comfortable floor cushions to keep the connection between the performer and the audience real and close.
A Space for Every Voice
Karmasthan isn't your typical commercial rental hall. We built this space because we wanted a place in BTM Layout where anyone, regardless of ability or background, could perform without being judged or shooed away. Our walls are painted by volunteers, and the atmosphere is always filled with energy.
The Performance Setup
We keep our venue setup practical so you can focus on your art, not logistics. Our 5-hour performance package includes:
- The Stage: A 10x8 ft raised wooden platform with a black curtain backdrop to keep the focus on you.
- Audio & Light: A PA system with 2 wired microphones, stands, a mixer, and house speakers for acoustic-level clarity. We also provide fixed-focus spot lighting.
- Seating: A mix of stackable chairs and floor cushions that creates an intimate, coffee-house vibe perfect for stand-up comedy, spoken word poetry, or unplugged musical sets.
- Support: An on-site coordinator to assist with basic sound checks and logistics.
