The Editorial Edge

Many of my photos involve complex lighting setups, often using professional off-camera flash to achieve the dramatic, magazine-style look you see here. This is why I focus on fewer, high-quality images rather than simply clicking a high volume of standard shots. Whether we are shooting a pre-wedding session at Eco Park or a bridal portrait in a Kolkata studio, the goal remains the same: a powerful, clean image that stands the test of time.

Honoring Bengali Heritage

My background informs my work significantly. I understand the importance of specific cultural details, from the intricate chandan designs to the shy glance of a bride during Shubho Drishti. I aim to capture these rituals with a fresh perspective, avoiding the cliché while keeping the soul of the tradition intact. I often work alongside top makeup artists and stylists to ensure that the bridal look complements the setting, whether it is a traditional Banarasi saree or a modern, conceptual outfit.

Collaborative Process

I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. If you have a specific vision, perhaps a vintage, cinema-inspired theme or something raw and monochromatic, I want to hear about it. I typically coordinate with my team of photographers and assistants to cover every angle, from the main rituals to the guest reactions, ensuring that while I focus on the portraits, nothing of importance is missed.
