About Characters & Fandoms
Since these are 4-inch cakes, the design space is tiny. For the best result, I recommend picking one clear character pose or a simple logo rather than a busy scene. This keeps the hand-piped details sharp and ensures your favorite character looks just right when you open the box.
Bringing a character to life on a small bento cake is one of my favorite challenges. Whether you want the adventurous Monkey D. Luffy, the cute Powerpuff Girls, or the We Bare Bears squad, the process changes based on the design you pick.
How I Create Your Fandom Cake
- Piped Buttercream: Perfect for classic 2D cartoons with bold lines and vibrant colors. These are great for clean, minimalist designs.
- Illustrated & Meme Designs: If you have a specific scene or a funny reaction face in mind, I use edible ink and fine-tip piping to capture the expression.
- 3D Fondant: For characters that need depth, like Cocomelon’s JJ or specific figurines, I use hand-sculpted fondant. This allows for those extra details that make the cake pop.
Ordering Your Design
Since these are custom-drawn, I need a little heads-up to get the details perfect. If you have a specific character, anime pose, or meme in mind, send me a reference image when you message.
A quick note on flavors: For these character designs, I find that Chocolate or Mocha work best. They provide a stable base for the piping and taste delicious when enjoyed at room temperature.
