Traditional Floral Mandap Decor for Sacred Ceremonies
I design authentic, traditional floral mandaps and stages for Ganesh Chaturthi, weddings, and home poojas, using fresh marigolds and jasmine.
A grand circular mandap I designed for a Ganesh Chaturthi celebration. The canopy is made from countless strings of fresh jasmine and tuberose, with a central floral chandelier.
This video shows the full view of the Ganesh Chaturthi stage. You can see the intricate floral mandap, the lighting, and the seating arrangement I created for the festival.
This is a traditional vidhi mandap for a wedding, made with yellow and white marigold garlands. The design is clean and timeless, perfect for sacred Hindu wedding rituals.
For this wedding mandap, I used pillars decorated with stacked golden pots alongside columns of marigold flowers. The canopy features orange, white, and dark green garlands for a vibrant look.
A simple yet elegant vidhi mandap structure for an indoor wedding ceremony. The pillars and roof are wrapped completely in yellow and orange marigold garlands.
Another view of the marigold vidhi mandap, showing the full stage setup on a red carpet. This type of traditional flower decoration is one of my specialties.
I build authentic South Indian themed stages using traditional elements like banana leaf pillars and long garlands of marigolds. This video shows my team setting up such a stage.
This is the decoration I did for a sacred thread ceremony. The work included a welcome sign decorated with flowers, a floral toran for the entrance, and unique arrangements inside.
This video shows a complete setup for a home pooja, including a backdrop with 'Jai Shri Ram' written in flowers, a decorated doorway, and hanging garlands for a festive atmosphere.
About Sacred Ceremonies & Festive Mandaps
When setting up a mandap for a pooja or a thread ceremony, the stability of the structure is just as important as the flower design. I use sturdy, traditional supports for my mandaps and ensure that every marigold garland is tightly woven so it stays lush from start to finish. I believe these ceremonies are sacred, so I focus on creating a space that feels calm and respectful.
I have been working with flowers since 1990, and I understand that for festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi or a wedding vidhi, the decoration needs to be authentic. You will not find artificial plastic flowers in my work. I use natural materials like marigolds, jasmine, tuberose, and sometimes banana leaves to bring a traditional South Indian aesthetic to your venue.
For home poojas, I can create a backdrop that fits your existing space, whether that is a small wall in your living room or a dedicated prayer area. I have extensive experience with calligraphy as well, so if you want specific motifs or words like 'Jai Shri Ram' crafted from flower petals, I can handle that detail.
If you are planning a grand event, I can install a full stage mandap with a dense floral canopy and overhead chandeliers. I manage everything from the delivery of the flowers to the setup of the red carpet and the final dismantle the next day. You can choose between classic yellow and orange marigold themes, or we can mix in orchids and lilies for a more contemporary look. Whatever you choose, my goal is to ensure the decoration supports the sanctity of your ceremony rather than distracting from it.
