About Festival & Ceremony Portraits
My festival shoots are built on coordination. Whether it is sourcing the specific props like a sugad for Makar Sankranti or timing the light for a glowing Diwali portrait, I handle the technical setup so you can focus on being yourself.
I treat every festival as a canvas. When I shoot a Haldi or a Makar Sankranti portrait, I focus on the little things that define the culture, like the texture of the Paithani saree, the intricate floral jewellery, or the specific glow of a diya. I use my Sony Alpha series cameras and 85mm prime lenses to get that soft, cinematic background blur that makes your features pop.
For studio or conceptual shoots, I bring a full lighting setup with strobes and gels to recreate the dramatic mood you see in my gallery. If we are shooting outdoors, I work with natural light to keep the skin tones warm and authentic. We spend the first part of the session getting the styling right, because a great photo depends on how the fabric drapes and how the accessories sit. My goal is to ensure you feel comfortable, not posed. Whether it is a traditional Marathi Mulgi look or a modern festive celebration, I guide you through every expression to ensure we get the soul of the moment in the frame. I am based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Area but frequently travel to Pune and across India for these shoots. Please reach out to discuss your specific festival theme or ceremony requirements.
