The partnership behind the brand. This image shows our founders in their element at our design studio, a meeting of minds dedicated to the craft of bespoke menswear and the pursuit of timeless style.
A portrait of our founder, Kaushik Shrimanker, who believes that true luxury is found in details often overlooked. His vision is driven by precision and the artistry of creating something that lasts, as reflected in the sharp tailoring of his red jacket.
We were honored to have our founder, Mr. Kaushik Shrimanker, featured in an article discussing the art of customized tailoring. This image captures him at his desk, surrounded by the tools of his craft, a testament to our dedication to preserving this timeless skill.
Accessories are not add-ons; they are accents that define your personality. This collage features our founder, Mehul Shrimanker, alongside a collection of our custom hats, illustrating how the right accessory completes a personal statement.
Good styling is deliberate, not accidental. In this video, I explain the 60-30-10 rule, a simple principle for creating balance in your outfit. It is this understanding of structure that allows us to help you build a wardrobe that is both harmonious and expressive.
About Meet the Founders & Our Philosophy
Good styling is never accidental. In our studio, we practice the 60-30-10 rule: 60% of your outfit is your base, 30% acts as a secondary layer, and the final 10% is the deliberate contrast that draws the eye. When you visit us in Khar, this is exactly how we start—not by picking fabrics, but by defining your personal balance.
Our approach at Shrimanker & Yogi is rooted in the belief that clothing carries weight and meaning. Since 1996, we have treated the process of creating a garment as a deliberate act, not just a transaction. We avoid chasing trends, preferring to craft pieces that age with the wearer and eventually become personal heirlooms.
Our Khar studio is designed for collaboration. It is a space where the process is as important as the final product. We spend time in conversation, looking at fabrics and discussing your personal narrative, because we believe that a suit or sherwani should be an extension of your identity. Whether it is incorporating historical influences from Greece or Persia into a modern cut, or hand-painting a jacket to add a unique visual layer, our focus remains on precision.
We prioritize fabric quality above all else, ensuring that our choices—like superfine wools—provide structure and flow that remain comfortable even in the Indian climate. We do not mass-produce; we build for individuals. When you choose to work with us, you are engaging in a process that takes 4-5 weeks, involving multiple trials and adjustments. This time allows us to ensure that the fit matches not just your body, but your presence.
