Cinematic City Storytelling and Urban Films
Cities are more than just concrete and traffic. They have a rhythm, a soul, and a million stories. I capture the pulse of India's cities, from the quiet morning ghats to the neon-lit rush of the night.
Exploring my city's heritage in Bhopal with the Vivo X200 FE. This video captures the faces and streets that make the city unforgettable, like this chai-wallah in the old city.
In Bhopal, history isn't just in books. A telephoto shot of a mosque dome, framed by the chaotic wires of the old city, captured with the Vivo X200 FE.
What I see vs what I shoot. This image shows how I frame a shot, finding beauty and history amidst the busy streets of Bhopal using my mobile phone.
A city of dreams or a rat race? A short film set in Mumbai that explores the struggles and hustle of life in the big city, inspired by a Hindi poem.
"Job ke baad life set hai." A short film that questions the idea of a "set life" by contrasting youthful freedom with the daily grind of a Mumbai local train.
"Bhopal sirf sheher nahi, sukoon hai." A couple enjoys a sunset by the lake in Bhopal, a city that offers moments of peace and tranquility.
Bhopal Aesthetics. A couple enjoying the sunset view over the lake, a perfect representation of the city's romantic charm.
The VIP Road sunset and a cup of tea, the best combination in Bhopal. A long exposure shot capturing the light trails of traffic along the lake.
"Jheelon ki nagri for real." A serene night shot of a temple by the lake in Bhopal, reflecting the city's title as the City of Lakes.
A stunning sunset aerial view of a temple in Bhopal. This was part of my contribution to India's First Digital Parade with Lava Mobiles.
About Urban Pulse: The Soul of Indian Cities
My city films aren't just quick montages. I mix ground-level storytelling with drone perspectives to show you how a place actually breathes. Whether it is the heritage of Bhopal or the local train rush in Mumbai, I do not just record the visuals; I aim to catch the vibe you would feel if you were standing right there.
When I film a city, I am not looking for the postcard shots everyone else takes. I want the moments that make a place feel like home—the chai-wallah in the old city, the chaotic wiring against a historic dome, or the specific glow of a sunset by the lake.
My approach is hybrid. I use the Sony ZV-E1 for depth and texture on the ground, and DJI drones to get those sweeping reveals that show the scale of the city. For me, the editing is just as important as the shoot. I focus on beat-sync editing to match the natural rhythm of the streets, whether it is the fast-paced energy of an Ahmedabad festival or the slow, melancholic pull of a Mumbai monsoon.
Technical specs are part of the deal, of course. I shoot in 4K, 10-bit color, which gives us plenty of room to color grade and get that 'moody cinematic' look right. If you want a video that captures the soul of your city or project, you bring the location, and I will bring the story. We can shoot anything from hidden alleys to sprawling skylines, bas (that is it).
