The Tabi Edit: Handcrafted Split-Toe Leather Flats
A modern take on the iconic split-toe silhouette. My Tabi flats are slow-made in our Delhi workshop, blending unique design with the everyday comfort of a ballet flat.
Precision in every fold, intention in every line. My Tabi flats are for those who speak in silhouettes, shown here in both classic black and metallic silver for versatile styling from the studio to the street.

Craft meets glow with the DUPE Tabi flat in a soft champagne leather. I love how this finish offers a quiet shimmer that makes its mark without shouting. It’s an understated metallic for everyday elegance.

About The Tabi Edit: Split-Toe Flats
Because these are built to order, please account for a 15-21 day production window. This isn't mass-produced stock; it is slow fashion created individually, which allows us to ensure the split-toe silhouette holds its structure and provides the comfort you expect from a daily flat.
The split-toe silhouette, or Tabi, is a design that demands attention. When I decided to introduce this to the Mistry lineup, I wanted to ensure it remained grounded. We call our version the DUPE, and it is a deliberate deviation from standard ballet flats.
We source top-grain leather and heavy-nap suede to construct these, focusing on the split-toe bridge. It is not just about the look; it is about the structural integrity required to keep the shape consistent over time. Every pair is cut and stitched by hand in our Okhla, New Delhi workshop.
Because we do not use assembly lines, production takes time. The 15-21 day window allows our team to focus on the lasting of the shoe, which is critical for split-toe comfort. Whether you choose the champagne metallic leather for an evening out or the brown suede for everyday wear, you are getting a piece that prioritizes function as much as form. These are not shoes you replace after a single season; they are intended to break in and mold to your specific footprint.
Mistry
I founded Mistry to offer a real alternative to the constant churn of fast fashion. I personally oversee every stage in our Okhla workshop, ensuring that each pair of Tabis is a piece of intentional design that ages well with your wardrobe.
