In this video, I introduce Nazrana, my first collection of delicately hand-embroidered leather juttis. It was a challenging but rewarding journey into hand embroidery, and I'm so proud to offer these pieces for the festive and wedding season.
About Nazrana: Hand-Embroidered Juttis
We line our juttis with soft leather to prevent the usual new shoe bite, and add double-cushioning because no one wants to take their heels off halfway through a wedding. These are built for the hours of greeting and movement that come with the festive season, not just for posing in photos.
Transitioning from our usual minimalist aesthetic to the world of hand-embroidery was a challenge we embraced for the Nazrana collection. Each pair begins with a silk or fabric upper, reinforced with a sturdy yet flexible leather base. Our team works with pearls, crystals, and zari, applying each element by hand. Unlike mass-produced festive footwear that can feel stiff and uncomfortable, we focus heavily on the interior. We use pure leather lining to ensure the material breathes and softens to your foot shape over time.
Please note that these are delicate pieces. While we engineer them for comfort, they are intended for festive events and weddings where care is expected. They are not meant for the same rough daily use as our standard leather loafers. Because every pair is made upon order, we need 7-14 working days to prepare your juttis. This slow production model ensures we do not rush the embroidery or the curing of the leather.
