About Themed First Birthday Shoots
For these milestone sessions, I design everything around a concept you love, from aviator adventures to floral wonderlands. Just a practical heads-up: I provide the props, decor, and outfits, but please bring the cake yourself so we can ensure it is safe for your baby to enjoy. We usually plan for about two hours, which gives us plenty of time for a clean portrait, some family shots, and the messy cake smash finale without rushing your little one.
Planning Your Theme
Whether you have a specific vision like a pilot flying through clouds or a classic floral garden, we bring it to life in my Andheri West studio. These setups are entirely custom-designed to match your baby's personality. If you have a reference picture or a Pinterest dream, please share it. I love building sets that make those ideas a reality, using premium props, backdrops, and lighting to create a cohesive, beautiful story.
The Session Flow
A typical first birthday session runs for 1.5 to 2 hours. We start with 'clean' portraits while your baby is fresh and happy, followed by the themed setup. The grand finale is the cake smash—a messy, giggly, and chaotic moment that always results in the best expressions. We also include a family portrait so you have a keepsake of the whole family celebrating this big day together.
What to Expect
- Wardrobe: I provide designer outfits for the baby as part of the theme, so you don't need to stress about sourcing costumes.
- Booking: Since these sessions require custom decor and prop planning, I require a 50% advance to block your date and start the design process.
- Delivery: You will receive high-resolution, professionally retouched soft copies within 2-3 weeks. Raw images are also included, so make sure to bring a labeled hard drive on the day of the shoot.
- Location: All sessions are held at my studio in Andheri West, which is climate-controlled and prepped with everything needed to keep your baby safe and comfortable.
