About this collection
My Nauvari draping relies on a heavy-duty safety pin technique that locks every pleat in place, so you can focus on the Saptapadi (seven steps) and the ceremony without worrying about your saree shifting. I pair this with sweat-proof HD makeup, specifically mixed for your skin tone to withstand the heat of the Hom ritual, ensuring you stay fresh and radiant from your first photograph to the final reception.
My Approach to the Marathmola Bride
For me, makeup is just like sculpting a Ganpati idol—it is about bringing out the natural beauty that is already there. I don't believe in heavy, cakey layers. Instead, I focus on a natural, long-lasting finish that survives the humidity of Mumbai venues and the bright flash of stage lights.
Why the Nauvari Matters
The Nauvari (9-yard) saree is the heart of a Maharashtrian wedding, but it is complex. Many artists struggle with the pleats and the fall. I have spent years perfecting the art of draping, ensuring the fabric sits perfectly while giving you the freedom to move. Whether you need a traditional Kashta drape for the wedding rituals or a contemporary style for your Sangeet, I ensure the fit is secure.
Customization for Your Day
I personally handle your makeup and draping, while coordinating with my trusted team for hair and jewelry setting. This means:
- Skin Prep: I do proper CTM (Cleansing, Toning, Moisturizing) tailored to your skin type to ensure the base sits perfectly.
- Jewelry Setting: Traditional jewelry like the Nath, Thushi, and Kolhapuri Saaj can be heavy. I use specific pinning techniques so the jewelry stays in place without hurting you.
- Travel: I travel to your wedding hall or home anywhere in the Mumbai Metropolitan Area, bringing the same quality you would see in my studio to your doorstep.
If you have problematic or dusky skin, bindass raha (be carefree). I specialize in color correction and base mixing that enhances your natural glow rather than masking it.
