This shadow dance performance, titled "Two Nations One Love," was the centerpiece of a couple's sangeet. We crafted a visual narrative of their story, from meeting at an airport to their life together, creating a unique and emotional groom and bride entry.

About Shadow Dance: Your Story in Silhouette
This process involves more than just performing behind a screen. We build custom cardboard props and cutouts to form precise shapes, from airport terminals to landmarks. Each performance requires 4 to 6 of our trained dancers to hit exact blocking points to turn human forms into your story, which we then sync with custom audio mixing.
How We Build Your Shadow Act
We start with the script. You tell us the story, and we storyboard it, turning your personal moments into scenes. Our audio team mixes the voiceover with your chosen tracks so the flow is seamless and the timing is tight.
The Performance Technicals
The performance relies heavily on blocking. Our dancers are trained specifically in silhouette formation, meaning they know exactly where to stand to make a car, a monument, or even a pet appear on the screen. This requires precision in spatial awareness that goes beyond standard dance choreography.
Logistics and Hardware
We bring all the necessary hardware to your venue. That includes the 12ft by 10ft rear-projection white screen, the frame stand, and the custom-fabricated props. We also handle the on-site coordination with your venue’s light and sound team to manage cues and lighting transitions. Our goal is to handle the backstage chaos so you only have to worry about the spotlight.
