About Inter SG5 Cup: A Community Festival
We structure the Inter SG5 Cup as a league-cum-knockout competition to ensure every team, from our U6 minis to senior squads, gets at least three guaranteed matches on the pitch. We handle the match logistics, including FA-qualified referees, match balls, bibs, and water stations, so players focus entirely on the game. Our roaming photographers capture the action, and every tournament concludes with an awards ceremony recognizing not just the champions, but also individual standouts like best goalkeeper and defender.
The Inter SG5 Cup is where our academy culture meets matchday reality. We organize these internal tournaments to foster a strong football community across our various branches, including Malad, Goregaon, and Powai. Our goal is to give every player a platform to test their skills in a competitive, fun, and supportive environment.
Why We Organize This Way
We move beyond standard friendly matches to create a tournament atmosphere. By using a league-cum-knockout format for age groups from U8 to U20, we maximize playing time and reduce waiting periods. For our youngest players (U6), we utilize 3v3 formats on smaller pitches to encourage more touches on the ball and higher engagement.
