This is the first look into our dojo and the spirit of Seido Karate. It showcases the discipline, power, and community that define our training, giving you a glimpse of the journey you can begin with us.
Our Karate Family: Community & Achievements
For us, the dojo is a second home. We welcome students of all ages and backgrounds, creating a supportive family where everyone celebrates each other's progress, from earning a new belt to mastering a new technique.
The Way of Karate: Training Body, Mind, and Spirit
Our training is holistic, focusing on more than just physical skill. Classes combine strength and stamina exercises with practical self defense, sparring (kumite), and the disciplined practice of forms (kata) to sharpen the mind and build an indomitable spirit.
Karate for Kids: Building Future Leaders
We guide our youngest karateka to develop discipline, focus, and unshakable confidence. Our kids' karate classes are designed to be engaging while teaching them valuable life skills like respect, perseverance, and self-control in a safe environment.
Advanced Training: Weapons & Tameshiwari
For dedicated students, we offer specialized training to deepen their martial arts practice. This includes advanced workshops in Tameshiwari (board breaking), practical knife defense, and the use of traditional weapons like the Sai.
Gasshuku: Annual Mountain Training Camp
Our annual Gasshuku is a unique tradition where we take our training to the mountains. These camps involve intense outdoor sessions, endurance exercises, and team building activities, strengthening our bonds and our karate spirit away from the dojo.
Our Seido Lineage & Global Community
As a certified 5th Dan Black Belt from Seido HQ in New York, I am proud to carry on the teachings of our founder, Kaicho T. Nakamura. Our dojo is part of a global Seido family, connecting with and hosting fellow karateka from around the world.
