Don't just learn the game—learn how to dominate it. I bring my experience from the international circuit directly to your court, pushing you past your limits.

The intensity of a quarterfinal match at the Austrian Open. I bring this same fire and competitive spirit to our academy, teaching you how to thrive under pressure.

In action during an international match. My experience on the BWF circuit directly informs the training methods and tactical advice I provide to every player at the academy.

A moment of reflection on the court. The mental game is just as important as the physical one, and I personally mentor players on how to stay focused and resilient.

Here I am, demonstrating technique and strategy directly to our players. You get to see, feel, and learn the game from an international player's perspective.

I am actively involved in every training session, whether it's feeding shuttles for a drill or sparring with you. This direct involvement ensures you are constantly challenged.

Observing and guiding players during a drill. I provide real-time feedback to make immediate improvements to your game, from footwork to racket skills.

Our coaching team is composed of experienced players and mentors. Here, another of our senior coaches provides guidance, ensuring a high standard of instruction across the board.

About this collection

When I say I coach, I mean I am on the court with you, feeding shuttles and sparring. You won’t see me shouting instructions from the sidelines. Whether you are perfecting your smash technique or needing a reality check on your court movement, I am right there to make sure you stop playing and start competing.

At Subhankar Dey Badminton Academy, my coaching isn't theoretical. I have competed at the highest levels, including a win over Lin Dan and reaching a world ranking of 38, so I know exactly what it takes to perform when the pressure is on. I don’t run a hobby club; I run a training ground.

My approach focuses on high-performance development. When you join, you are expected to treat every session like a tournament match. We utilize multi-shuttle feeding routines to build muscle memory and intense sparring sessions to improve your tactical awareness. You will learn the difference between just hitting a shuttle and playing a high-percentage shot.

My coaching style is direct—‘Chal, come on! Fast kar thoda!’—because intensity is the only bridge between a good player and a champion. I personally mentor students on match analysis, helping you understand how to exploit an opponent's weakness while fixing your own. Whether you are aiming for district-level gold or preparing for the international circuit, the training adapts to your goals.

Off the court, we integrate strength and conditioning specifically for badminton players. You aren't just running laps; we work on agility ladders, explosive power, and injury prevention to ensure you stay on court longer and play harder. If you are serious about your game, come train where champions are built. We don't accept excuses here.

Badminton has been my life, from facing legends like Lin Dan to climbing to world rank 38. I started SDBA because I wanted to offer the kind of intense, no-nonsense training that turned me into a pro. We don't do easy—we do results.
