Build Your Professional LinkedIn Profile
STEM skills are only half the battle. We help students turn their robotics projects, coding wins, and competition medals into a professional portfolio that colleges and internships actually look at.
It's never too early to build a professional identity. This video announces our free LinkedIn profile building session for school students, designed to help them showcase projects, skills, and achievements for future college and internship opportunities.
About Professional Development for Students
Most students build amazing robots or apps in our labs and then just move on to the next task. That is a massive missed opportunity. We teach them how to properly document every project, competition win, and certification on a professional profile so they start building a credible digital identity while they are still in school.
Why Start Early?
In today’s world, your digital footprint is your resume. Whether it is applying for college or searching for that first internship, having a professional presence matters. Our session isn't about aimless scrolling; it is about teaching students how to showcase their real-world work.
What We Cover
- Project Showcasing: We show kids how to upload videos and code repositories, turning a simple 'I built a robot' into a documented engineering project.
- Skill Mapping: We help them identify the specific hard skills they have learned—be it Python, Arduino, or 3D modeling—and format them for recruiters to see.
- Network Building: Learning how to connect with mentors, peers, and industry professionals in a safe, productive way.
The Science Kidz Approach
We believe in hands-on learning, and that includes professional development. We do not use boring templates. We work with students to identify their unique 'spark'—whether that is a passion for AI, a knack for IoT circuits, or success in robotics competitions like WSRO. We then turn that spark into a compelling profile story. By the end of our workshop, a student doesn't just have an account; they have a digital portfolio that proves they are innovators, not just observers.
