About Travel & Destination Photography
Home Is Where the Story Is
I’m Santosh Roy, and for me, every place is a chance to find a little bit of ‘home’. I’m not just after pretty pictures - I’m chasing what a place feels like. Sometimes it’s raw, sometimes it’s peaceful, sometimes it’s just a burst of color in the middle of nowhere.
How I Shoot
- Natural light travel photography is my jam, especially those golden hour shots when the world glows and everything feels alive.
- I look for the story everywhere - whether it’s a silhouette against a wild sky or a reflection that hides a secret.
- I care more about feeling than perfect technique. I want you to see a photo and instantly feel the mist, the breeze, or the buzz of a city.
The Kinds of Stories I Love
- Epic landscapes from Spiti’s cold valleys, Jim Corbett’s forests, or snowy Kashmir. That sunrise over the peaks is a total ‘Jai Ho!’ moment.
- Cultural heritage photo stories, like the old palaces in Rajasthan or spiritual spots like Manikaran Sahib. Even a temple’s shadow can say a lot.
- Cityscape photography India style - I’ve shot Dubai’s city lights and India’s urban pulse, each with its own soul.
Where I’ve Been
I’ve traveled and shot across Kashmir, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Agra, Kerala, and Dubai. Every trip adds to my travel diary.
Gear I Use
Mostly my Canon EOS 80D, but I believe some of the best emotional landscape images come from spontaneous travel captures on my iPhone. For me, it’s more about the moment than the camera.

Santosh Roy
My Story
Hey, I’m Santosh. Gurugram is home, but really, I’m always chasing stories with my camera. Spiti’s cold valleys, Kashmir’s waters, Jim Corbett’s wild forests – I find magic in tiny things, like a butterfly landing or a sunset that just hits different. Photography lets me keep those moments. I’m a family guy, too – Diwali lights, Holi colours, bura na mano Holi hai! (don’t mind, it’s Holi!) – and faith is part of my journey. All of this connects, somehow.
My Work
Nature & Wildlife Photography - I shoot birds, insects, flowers, landscapes – always searching for that soul in the moment.
Emotional Storytelling - My photos mix wonder and sadness, sometimes a poem or thought, always real. Soulful nature photography is my thing.
Details & Gear - I share species, habits, locations, or just what inspired me. Mostly Canon EOS 80D, sometimes iPhone.
