Legal Workshops & Seminars
I believe legal knowledge should be accessible, not gatekept. In these sessions, I bridge the gap between academic theory and the daily realities of courtroom litigation.
In this webinar, I shared my two decades of experience in conducting criminal trials. I covered key practices and procedures, offering insights into trial strategy, evidence handling, and cross-examination techniques for aspiring criminal lawyers.
Drafting is a fundamental skill for any civil litigator. This poster is from a national workshop I conducted on civil drafting, where I taught the art of preparing a well-structured plaint and written statement as per the Civil Procedure Code.
About Legal Workshops & Seminars
Law school textbooks give you the rules, but the courtroom teaches you how to actually use them. In these workshops, I focus on the mechanics of litigation—how to prepare for a cross-examination, how to structure a plaint that holds up, and how to build a case strategy when the stakes are high.
Most legal education focuses on the 'what'—what the statute says, what the precedent is. My workshops focus on the 'how'. When you are standing before a judge, the law is only one part of the battle. The rest is preparation, observation, and adaptability.
Practical Skill Development
Whether I am conducting a session on Criminal Trial Procedure or a workshop on Civil Drafting, the objective remains the same: you should walk away with a toolset you can use the next day. We cover:
- Criminal Trial Strategy: Moving beyond FIRs and bail applications to understanding the psychology of cross-examination and witness management.
- Civil Drafting: The art of the plaint and written statement. A well-drafted document can often force a settlement before a trial even begins.
- Strategic Thinking: How to identify the pressure points in a case. We don't just recite sections; we analyze how to use them to create a defensible, winning argument.
Mentorship for the Next Generation
I started my journey at Tis Hazari, and I know how isolating legal practice can feel for young advocates. These webinars and seminars serve as a platform for open discussion. You can ask the questions that don't get answered in classrooms or during internships. My goal is to equip you with the practical grit required to survive and succeed in the Indian legal system, where preparation is the only substitute for shortcuts.
