Practical Legal Training & Career Mentorship
Bridging the gap between academic law and courtroom reality. Explore my approach to practical legal practice, specialized course modules, and career guidance for aspiring lawyers.
I started the AB Institute of Law & Management to bridge the critical gap between academic knowledge and the practical skills needed in the real world. This video explains my mission to groom and polish the skill set of law students and young professionals for success in courtrooms and corporate environments.
A common question I receive is, "Can a registered sale deed be cancelled?" In this video, I break down the specific legal grounds for cancellation, such as fraud or mutual consent, and clarify that the civil court, not the registrar, holds the power for such actions.
As a practicing advocate, I regularly appear before various courts, including the Supreme Court of India. This hands on experience in active litigation directly informs the practical, real world curriculum I develop for my students.
My course on the Law of Bail is designed for young lawyers who face difficulties drafting and arguing bail applications. This 5 week program covers everything from procedural law and drafting techniques to the right time to file for bail and how to handle proceedings in District Courts, High Courts, and the Supreme Court.
Choosing a career path in law can be filled with uncertainty. I regularly host webinars to help law students and aspirants navigate their options, whether they are considering civil litigation, criminal law, or a corporate career.
I believe in nurturing the next generation of legal minds. Here, I congratulate a group of talented law students from the Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore, who successfully secured internships to train under my guidance.
Receiving a summons from an investigation agency can be intimidating. My advice is to cooperate with the agency to avoid further legal complications, such as being declared an absconder by the court.
About Featured
Most law students enter the profession with strong academic knowledge but struggle when they step into a courtroom. I focus on the procedural mechanics—drafting legal notices, filing bail applications, and handling investigation agency summons—so you understand exactly what to do when a client or a judge asks a practical question.
After over two decades in the Delhi High Court and Supreme Court, I have seen too many bright, first-generation lawyers feel lost because their degrees didn't prepare them for the daily reality of practice. My approach at the AB Institute of Law & Management (AILM) is to strip away the confusion.
Why Practical Training Matters
Academic knowledge is the foundation, but procedure is the application. Whether you are aiming for civil litigation, criminal law, or a corporate role, you need to know how to navigate the court system. My courses are designed to offer a 'Ready Reckoner' style of learning, focusing on:
- Procedural Law: Mastering the 'how-to' of bail applications, drafting contracts, and filing RTIs.
- Courtroom Presence: Guidance on etiquette, presentation, and confidence building for young advocates.
- Strategic Advisory: Handling real-world disputes, including property issues, sale deed cancellations, and corporate compliance.
How We Learn
We keep it flexible and relevant. My programs are fully online, combining live mentorship sessions, assignments, and updated modules that reflect the latest judgments. We don't just talk about the law; we analyze why specific provisions matter in a live case.
If you are a student or a young lawyer feeling overwhelmed by the transition from theory to practice, this is where you start building your competence.

I am Anand Duggal, and for over two decades, I have been active in the Delhi High Court and Supreme Court. I realized early on that new lawyers often struggle with the actual procedures of the court, so I started my institute to teach what I have learned in practice.
