Festivals are about emotion, and my mehndi art tries to capture that. Explore designs for Karwa Chauth, Chhath, and beyond, and learn the techniques I use to create them.

Chhath Puja isn't just a festival, it's an emotion for every Bihari. I created this special mehndi design to capture the feeling of devotion and gratitude.

Soop, thekua, and mehndi. This is how Chhath begins in a Bihari home. This is a full bridal style design I did for the festival, filled with traditional motifs like peacocks and elephants.

Karwa Chauth mehndi is more than just a design, it's the emotion of a wife for her husband. This video showcases a beautiful and symbolic design I created for a client.

Here's a time-lapse of a full Karwa Chauth special design, from the first line on the wrist to the final filled-in piece. You can learn to create these storytelling designs in my classes.

A Karwa Chauth special design on a practice hand. This figure of a woman with the moon and chalni is a classic and popular request during the festival.

The same Karwa Chauth design, now with the fingers and thumb filled in. You can see how the complete design comes together to create a full, rich look on the hand.

Another view of the completed Karwa Chauth practice design with the henna paste still on. The dark paste promises a beautiful stain, something we also cover in my course.

About Festive Mehndi Showcase

Festive seasons like Karwa Chauth and Chhath demand more than just pretty patterns. Clients want storytelling, particularly through figure work and portraits that hold cultural significance. I teach my students the specific pressure control and shading techniques required to make these detailed designs look sharp, ensuring the henna leaves a rich, dark stain that lasts through the celebrations.
