Spiritual and Devotional Sand Art
Sand art is more than visual storytelling; it is a meditation. Whether it is a live performance for a festival or a framed artwork for your home, I use grains of sand to honor the divine and bring a sense of peace to your space.

A short video showing the creation of the words 'Shri Ram' in sand. It's a simple act of devotion, using my art to express faith.
My sand art for International Yoga Day. It depicts a figure in a yoga pose, representing the connection between the soul and the soil, a core principle of both yoga and my eco-art.
About Spiritual & Devotional Sand Art
For live events, I work on a light box where the art evolves and fades in real-time, creating a powerful experience for festivals or temple gatherings. For permanent decor, I use a bas-relief technique with 100% natural fixed sand, protected by glass, ensuring that spiritual figures like Lord Shiva or Buddha remain pristine in your home for years.
My approach to spiritual sand art serves two purposes: the transient magic of live performance and the lasting presence of physical wall art.
Live Performance
When I perform live for events like Mahashivaratri or temple functions, the sand acts as a medium for prayer. The art rises and falls with the story. These performances are designed to engage an audience, making the divine connection visible through the flow of grains on my light box. It is not just about the final image but the act of creation itself.
Permanent Devotional Art
I also create physical, framed pieces. Each work is crafted using natural sand, permanently fixed onto a rigid board. This is a technical process—I build texture through layers to give figures like Lord Ram or Buddha a sculptural feel.
- Framing: Every piece comes in a premium matte black or dark wood frame, typically 1.5 to 2 inches thick.
- Protection: I use non-reflective acrylic or glass to keep the sand safe from dust and humidity.
- Durability: Unlike loose sand, these pieces are treated with industrial fixatives to prevent grain shedding, meaning they are built to last as family heirlooms.
Whether you are looking for a centerpiece for a prayer room or a unique piece for a devotional event, my work focuses on sustainable, eco-friendly materials that respect the environment.

I believe that every grain of sand holds a story. When I am not performing on stage, I am in my studio in Yeswanthpur, working on pieces that help people connect with their roots. Let's create something meaningful together.
