Dreamy Night Pre-Wedding Photography with Fairy Lights
Step into the magic of the night. From glowing fairy lights to cozy bonfires, I capture intimate, quiet moments that come alive only after the sun goes down.
About Dreamy Nights & Fairy Lights
Night shoots are a different game. They require patience and careful lighting to balance the pitch-black surroundings with the soft glow of fairy lights or bonfires. I use off-camera strobes to ensure you stay the focus, even when the environment is dim, so those intimate, quiet moments under the stars come through clearly.
When the sun goes down, the vibe completely changes. During the day, we deal with crowds, noise, and harsh sunlight. At night, it’s just the two of you, me, and the light we choose to create.
My approach to these sessions is technical but intimate. I rely heavily on off-camera strobes and softboxes rather than just standard camera flash. This helps me separate you from the background and keeps the scene looking cinematic instead of flat. If we are using fairy lights, I prefer to keep them slightly out of focus in the foreground to add depth to the frame.
These shoots are not for everyone. You have to be comfortable standing in the dark, sometimes in the cold, and you need to be patient while I get the lighting balance exactly right. It is not as glamorous as it looks on Instagram—sometimes it means standing still for minutes while I adjust the setup. But when you see the final, glowing result where the rest of the world fades away and all that remains is your connection, you will understand why I put in the extra work.
Whether we are shooting in the quiet corners of a Mumbai resort or on a destination trip far from city lights, I look for spots that allow us to isolate your story. If you have a location that looks great during the day, we can often transform it into something entirely new at night with the right lighting plan.
