About Our Story & Recognition
People often ask how I turned my kitchen experiments into a recognized brand. It wasn't about fancy labs, but about sticking to the same patti vaithiyam (grandma's remedies) I grew up with, even when people told me to do something 'real' with my career. Those early days of learning what actually works for Indian skin—without the harsh chemicals—built the foundation for everything we offer today.
How it all began
I started SaiBariya because I truly believe skincare shouldn't be expensive or complicated. When I got married, I dealt with severe tanning, and it was my own nalangu maavu pack that finally helped me get my glow back. That was my 'aha' moment. I realized that if it worked for me, it could work for others too.
The struggle behind the glow
Building this brand in Thanjavur wasn't easy. Five years ago, when I started making products at home, people questioned me. They said, 'Why would people buy this? Go do something more stable.' But I ignored the noise. I focused on the basics: using tea tree for dandruff, hibiscus for frizz, and simple oiling routines. I wanted to prove that we don't need synthetic ingredients to look good. We just need to go back to our roots.
