When setting up school systems, I focus on the monitor layout first. Whether it is a 16-camera split screen for the principal’s office or a focused view of the computer lab, I make sure the display is simple enough for your staff to check at a glance.
School environments present specific security needs. You have busy corridors, open playgrounds, and valuable equipment in computer labs that all need consistent monitoring. My approach is practical: I use durable Hikvision or CP Plus Guard+ cameras that handle both indoor and outdoor conditions reliably.
For school projects, I do not just mount cameras and leave. I plan the network to ensure there is no lag in the feed. This includes running shielded cabling to prevent signal drops and ensuring the DVR is locked in a secure, ventilated box. If you have a specific spot—like a gate, an isolated playground corner, or a server room—I will suggest the right lens angle so you do not have blind spots.
I understand school budgets are tight. I use 2MP or 4MP setups that provide clear footage for identification, but keep the hardware costs manageable. Everything I install is tested for continuous recording, so your video evidence is there whenever you need it.
