People often worry if the makeup will look too heavy halfway through the application. I always tell my brides to trust the process. Whether it is a Roka or a reception, we build the look in layers, and that final moment when everything is balanced with your hair and outfit is where the real beauty shows.
Every pre-wedding event serves a different purpose, and your makeup should reflect that vibe. For a Roka or engagement, many of my clients prefer a soft, dewy look that lets their natural features shine. We focus on radiant, healthy skin and subtle eye definition. If the event is in the daytime, we keep the colors fresh and the base lightweight to ensure you look polished in daylight photos.
For a reception, the mood changes. This is the time for bold, glamorous choices. I love creating deeper smokey eyes, shimmer accents, or a statement lip to match an evening gown or a heavy saree. Since receptions often happen at night under artificial venue lights, I adjust the contour and highlight to make sure you look defined, not washed out.
Beyond just the makeup, I take care of your hair and draping. An intricate fishtail braid or a sleek, voluminous bun can completely change the silhouette of your outfit.
