About Behind The Scenes
The final photos you see are polished, but the process is where the real work happens. You will see me prepping skin to handle long hours, securing heavy dupattas with double locks so they do not slip, and adjusting hair padding for support. It is about building a foundation that survives the dance floor, the humidity, and hours of movement.
My Creative Process
Makeup is not just about layering products; it is about architecture. When I am behind the scenes, my focus is on durability and comfort. Whether it is a Roka or a reception, I spend the first part of our session on CTM (cleansing, toning, moisturizing) to ensure your base remains fresh for 8+ hours.
Handling The Reality of Wedding Days
I know the 'shaadi ka hungama' (wedding chaos) is real. My work often involves a bit of necessary improvisation—what I call 'thoda jugad'—to make sure your look stays put.
- Draping & Security: For heavy silks like Banarasi or Kanjeevaram, I use double-lock pinning to ensure the saree stays intact while you dance.
- Hair & Volume: I don't just style hair; I build it. Using padding and professional volumizers, I ensure buns and braids have the structural integrity to hold jewelry like matha pattis without pulling or sliding.
- Mature Skin Prep: When working with mature skin, my process changes entirely. I use serum-rich hydration to plump fine lines before any makeup touches your face, ensuring a finish that is radiant rather than cakey.
The Final Touch
Before you step out, I double-check the details that matter—the subtle highlight on your collarbones, the security of your lashes, and the drape of your dupatta. It is these small, technical steps that give you the confidence to enjoy your day without worrying about your makeup.
