Poetry is my way of making sense of the heart's chaos. These collected thoughts explore love, loss, healing, and the quiet wonder of living, written to find truth in emotion.

The first kiss is often overrated; it's the last kiss that holds so much weight. This poem is a reflection on the power and memory of a final kiss.

A simple, vulnerable question. This is the essence of my work: showing our naked souls and asking for them to be met with love.

This was the setup for a journaling workshop I led for students at Northeastern University. Wellbeing shouldn't end with a designated awareness day. I encourage students to make writing a daily tool for cleansing, nourishing, and creating themselves. Journaling is like a compass, a map, and a companion for life's journey.8
I started this '48 Weeks of Wonder' series to encourage consistent reflection through writing. Holding the book '365 Days of Wonder', I invite everyone to mull over a weekly precept. You don't know what 'aha' moment is waiting for you until you pick up a pen and let your thoughts flow onto the paper.
Boredom is the fertile soil where creativity sprouts. This painting and poem were the outcome of a quiet Sunday. I channeled my longing for the yellow Amaltas flowers of India into this simple creation. The process matters more than the outcome. I encourage you to stay with your boredom and see what you can create.
"Kindness, like a boomerang, always returns." This was a precept for my '48 Weeks of Wonder' journaling prompt. I encourage people to reflect in writing on experiences of kindness, both given and received. This simple act of writing and remembering can reconnect us to our own humanity and the goodness in the world.

This session tackled one of life's biggest and most difficult themes: death. We created a respectful space for writers to explore mortality, grief, and legacy through fiction, resulting in some truly powerful and moving pieces.35
"Walk a Line in My Shoes" was a session all about empathy and perspective. The prompts challenged us to step into someone else's life and write from a point of view completely different from our own.
The theme "Here You Are" was an exercise in capturing a single, fleeting moment in time. Inspired by the motion-blurred photo, we wrote stories that focused on a critical, life-changing instant.
"In My Defense, I Was There." This intriguing prompt led to stories about perspective, memory, and justification. We wrote from the point of view of characters defending their actions in a pivotal moment.

"She is a force of nature." I wrote this last year, and it became true. The journey to meet the woman you are becoming is the most important climb.8
On the other side, you will meet all the versions of you that you left behind. Embrace them all with gratitude, for without them, you'd never have made it.
"You will all cry and sit together and reflect on what a climb it has been." The journey is hard, but it's worth it. Now, soften, relax, and enjoy the view.
The first sign of healing? Playfulness returns. Life feels lighter. This isn't a coincidence. It's your brain realizing it's finally safe.

Musings & Philosophy: My Approach to Emotional Healing

A story begins: "He came from a long line of farmers. Men who never went to school. Women who lit diyas, not dreams." This is for anyone who feels their background doesn't fit the "author" mold.34
He said, "I want to write a book about them." People laughed. "Who'll read about farmers?" But his soul said otherwise. Your story is valid, even if others don't understand it yet.
He couldn't forget their stories. The struggles, the silences, the sacrifices. He remembered his grandfather walking 9km barefoot for salt. Your family's history is a wellspring of powerful narratives.
He didn't know how to begin. He wasn't a "writer." But on Pitru Paksha, he lit a diya, sat down, and whispered: "This is for you." Writing can be an act of remembrance and honor.

Healing after a breakup is not a neat or pretty process. It's messy, non-linear, and requires immense self-compassion.19
