About this collection
I often see clients struggling to find the right spot for a mandir in a standard 3BHK flat. I solve this by creating custom units that look like elegant furniture from the outside—using fluted glass or grey laminate finishes—but open up to a serene prayer space. These include built-in drawers for your brass lamps, incense, and prayer books, keeping everything organized and out of sight when not in use.
My Approach to Sacred Spaces
Designing a mandir isn't just about putting up a shelf. It is about creating a dedicated area of calm in your busy home. Whether you live in Gaur City or Nirala Estate, I work with the space you have to ensure your prayer unit feels like a natural part of your living room.
Materials and Finish
I prefer using Corian and high-grade acrylic for the back panels because they handle backlighting beautifully. A backlit 'Om' or mandala pattern carved with CNC precision creates that soft, meditative glow that makes the space feel special. For the cabinet structure, I use HDHMR boards which are moisture-resistant and durable, ensuring your mandir stays in great condition for years.
Smart Space Planning
If you have a small apartment, we don't need a massive wall. I design tall, sleek units that maximize vertical space, providing storage for all your puja essentials at the bottom while keeping the idol shelf at eye level.
Common Customizations
- Mandir Integration: We can blend the mandir design with your TV unit or crockery cabinet to maintain a consistent aesthetic.
- Lighting: I install warm-white strip lights and COB spots so your idols are always well-lit, avoiding harsh, bright lights.
- Customization: If you prefer traditional brass bells or specific religious symbols, I can incorporate those into the CNC-cut door panels or the back-wall design.
My goal is to give you a spot where you can sit, breathe, and start your day right. Let’s discuss what fits your home best.
