Henna Art Highlights and Learning Demos
A glimpse into my favourite henna designs and how I teach this beautiful art. Whether you are looking for design inspiration or want to start your own henna journey, here is where it all comes together.
I absolutely love how this full-arm henna design turned out. We build up the pattern with bold roses, delicate netting on the fingers, and detailed leaf work, creating a design that flows beautifully from the hand to the forearm. This is the kind of intricate work I adore creating.
This video shows the creation of a detailed wrist cuff with a grid pattern, which connects to a floral design on the hand. Mastering fillers like these is a key part of my course, as it adds so much depth and professionalism to your mehendi art.
Here is a step-by-step demonstration of a classic Arabic henna design on a practice template. In my classes, we use these templates to get comfortable with creating flowing patterns, combining bold flowers with delicate swirls and leaves before trying on skin.
A modern take on a henna design, starting with a heart motif and building it out with intricate swirls, dots, and a feather-like vine. This video shows how a simple central element can be transformed into a full, gorgeous hand design.
This is a live demonstration I did for my online students, showing how to compose a complex design on a hand template. We combine large floral elements with detailed finger work and leafy fillers, a core skill for creating balanced mehendi.
A quick look at three different mandala styles I teach, from a classic floral sunburst to a netted pattern and a geometric diamond shape. These demos show the variety of motifs you can learn to create for the center of the palm.
Creating bold mini roses is one of my favourite things to teach. This close-up video shows the simple spiral technique and how to add leaves to form a beautiful little bunch, a fundamental element in floral henna design.
About this collection
If you are looking at my teaching demos, know that we do not just jump into complex patterns. I start every student on paper templates so you build muscle memory for the cone's pressure before we ever touch skin. This approach helps you master those bold roses and delicate vines without the stress of making mistakes on a client.
Teaching henna is where I feel most at home. It is one thing to draw a beautiful design, but it is another to teach someone else how to create that same flow and balance. My online classes are designed to bridge that gap. We spend a lot of time on 'Hennaology'—the science of natural paste mixing and aftercare—because the best design in the world will not matter if the stain does not mature into that deep, rich colour we all love.
What we cover
- Basics to Pro: We cover everything from holding the cone for precise line work to complex Indo-Arabic bridal layouts.
- Floral Mastery: My sessions focus heavily on 3D shading and floral motifs, which are the foundation of most modern designs.
- Individual Support: You get real attention. I review your homework daily, so you are not just watching videos; you are actually learning.
Whether you want to turn this into a business or just learn for the pure joy of it, I keep the environment relaxed. I have pre-recorded modules for those who prefer self-paced learning, and live masterclasses for those who want that interactive, classroom energy. Alhamdulillah, being able to share this art with students is a journey I cherish.
