Explore how I build henna design motifs, from simple floral bunches to complex mandala compositions using natural henna techniques.

A collection of henna bunches I created to show different ways of combining flowers, swirls, and fillers. These motifs can be used as standalone tattoos or as part of a larger, more complex bridal design.

A beautiful henna bunch featuring a central shaded flower, surrounded by leaves, swirls, and a geometric element. This is a perfect example of an Indo-Arabic motif that we learn to create in my course.

Watch how this intricate floral bunch comes to life, step by step. I start with the basic outline and then add layers of detail, including fine lines for shading and bold fills to create contrast.

This is a demonstration of a mandala design that incorporates a net or grid pattern, known as a 'jaali'. The design is framed with a beautiful rose and leaves, combining geometric and floral elements.

A classic floral mandala design, built with layers of petals and swirls radiating from a central point. This is a foundational design in mehendi art that I love teaching to my students.

A unique, diamond-shaped mandala filled with intricate leafy vines. This shows how you can move beyond circular shapes to create modern and geometric henna motifs.

Practicing finger details on a template. This video shows three different designs for fingertips, from simple floral motifs to more complex bands with checks and swirls.

A close-up demonstration of creating a floral and grid design on the side of the hand. This is a common placement in Arabic mehendi, and we practice getting the shape just right.

The same design as the previous video, showing the process of adding the delicate swirls and border. Consistent line work is key to making these elements look clean and professional.

This video shows how to build up a design using flowers and leaves as the main components. We practice layering these elements to create a sense of depth and movement in the design.

About Design Motifs and Bunches

Creating a balanced bunch is all about pressure control and composition. When you watch these demos, notice how I combine bold lines for the flowers with fine, delicate vines to create contrast. It is not just about drawing a flower, it is about where you place it so the whole hand design flows naturally.
