Milestones and Global Recognition in Sitar Performance
Beyond the accolades and venues, every milestone here is a step toward my mission of bringing the healing power of the sitar to the world.
This is one of the most unforgettable moments of my life: performing a solo sitar recital at the first-ever Diwali celebration at the White House in 2022. It was a privilege to represent my Indian heritage on such a grand stage.

This video tells the story of 'Sitar for Mental Health,' from becoming a disciple of Pt. Ravi Shankar to facing my own mental health struggles during the pandemic and making history at the White House.
A proud moment, holding my sitar at the United Nations panel. Being invited as a youth leader to advocate for mental health through traditional Indian music was a true honor.
A quiet moment after the GQ event, reflecting on the award. This recognition fuels my mission to continue using my platform for good.
Standing with the legendary Madhuri Dixit. It's always an honor to meet and connect with artists who have inspired millions.

About Milestones & Recognition
It is not just about the awards or the stages. Whether I am playing at the White House or speaking at the United Nations, the goal remains the same: to make the mental health benefits of the sitar accessible to everyone. These moments are merely chapters in a larger story of using our heritage for healing.
My journey has taken me from the music room in Delhi to some of the most influential platforms on the planet. When I performed at the White House for the first-ever Diwali celebration in 2022, or when I spoke at the United Nations about the 'Sitar for Mental Health' initiative, I did not see it as a personal win. I saw it as a win for the sitar and the ancient wisdom we carry.
From being recognized by GQ India to performing at Harvard’s Sanders Theater, these milestones are validation that our music is needed now more than ever. Each recognition is a blessing, but the real work happens when the lights go down and the music begins to quiet the noise in someone's mind.
I treat every performance, whether at a stadium or an intimate meditation session, with the same intent. It is about bridging the gap between centuries-old classical traditions and the realities of modern life. When I collaborate with artists or share the stage with leaders, it is always to amplify the message that music is medicine. This is my 'Sitar for Mental Health' mission, and I am grateful for every soul that has joined me on this ride.
