The Sitar Sorcerer: My Style & Stage Presence
Performance is a total form of expression. I combine traditional Indian aesthetics with a modern edge to create a visual experience that matches the music.

The Sitar Sorcerer. This look, featuring a flowing black kurta by Torani, captures the magical and mysterious side of my persona.
Royalty. This custom mint green outfit by Jigar Maali has a regal and elegant feel, perfect for a grand stage performance.
A playful shot with a sheer dupatta from a fashion shoot. I enjoy experimenting with different fabrics and silhouettes to create artistic and expressive visuals.
The movement of this Torani outfit is as expressive as the music itself. Style is another language I use to tell a story.
A regal look in a green velvet kurta. I love collaborating with designers who understand how to blend traditional Indian craftsmanship with a contemporary fit.
My 27th birthday look, a stunning gold outfit by Kunal Anil Tanna, worn for my sold-out shows in New Jersey and New York.
A quiet moment in a copper-colored look by Amantakyar. The warm tones and intricate details of the outfit complemented the candle-lit stage perfectly.
An artistic shot where the sitar is veiled by the dupatta. It creates a sense of mystery and reverence for the instrument.
A quick clip showing my style. Blessed to be recognized by both GQ and Vogue in the same week.
About The Sitar Sorcerer: My Style
I treat my stage wardrobe with the same precision as I do my riyaz. Whether I am wearing a structured piece from Antar Agni or a flowing kurta by Torani, every fabric is chosen to move with the sitar. It is about creating a visual language that connects with the crowd before I play a single note.
My style is an extension of my sound. When I am on stage, the goal is to break the stiff image of classical music. I want the audience to see that Indian culture is vibrant, evolving, and undeniably cool. Working with stylists like Karishma Gulati, we mix heritage textures with avant-garde silhouettes—velvet kurtas, sheer layering, and metallic accents that catch the stage lights.
The sitar is always the centerpiece. If the outfit is too bulky or restrictive, I cannot play. If it is too casual, it lacks the reverence the instrument deserves. I find that sweet spot by balancing comfort with presence. When I wear gold or intricate embroidery, it is a nod to my roots and the craftsmanship of the Rikhi Ram legacy. When I go for a darker, sharper look, it speaks to the modern fusion and the Sitar Sorcerer persona. Ultimately, I want you to feel the energy of the performance from the moment I walk out. It is part of the Sitar for Mental Health experience—creating a space that is aesthetically immersive and spiritually grounded.
