The Techniques I Use

• Filigree: This involves twisting fine gold wires into lace-like patterns. It requires a steady hand and hours of patience, but the result is a piece that looks weightless yet remains sturdy.
• Nakshi Work: I use this traditional embossing technique to create depth in gold, giving motifs a 3D effect that catches the light differently than standard polishing.
• Rajwadi Kundan: For bridal sets, I focus on the authentic Rajwadi style, which relies on high-quality uncut stones and traditional meenakari work on the reverse side of the metal.

Why Quality Matters

All my heritage pieces are crafted in 18kt hallmarked gold. Whether it is a heavy bridal choker or a daily-wear pendant, I insist on using 18kt because it offers the perfect balance of durability and purity. It allows for the intricate detailing required in heritage work while ensuring the piece holds its value for generations.

I sketch the concept, and once we finalize the details, I oversee the production in my workshop in Mumbai.
