Behind the Art: How Your Memories Become Keepsakes
Step into my workspace where the magic happens. I turn fresh flowers and precious mementos into lasting resin art, one layer at a time.
This is how I prepare flowers for preservation. Using color-changing silica gel helps to dry the flowers while retaining as much of their natural color as possible, ensuring your keepsakes are vibrant and beautiful.

My workspace is often a creative chaos of ongoing projects. Here you can see several varmala frames, a clock, and monogram lamps all in different stages of completion. It's a lot of hard work, but I love it.

About Behind the Art: My Process
People often ask how I keep the flowers looking so vibrant inside the resin, and the secret is a slow, careful drying process using color-changing silica gel. I never rush this stage because moisture is the enemy of resin; if the flowers are not bone-dry, the piece will not last. I take the time to properly recharge the gel and monitor every petal, ensuring that what you get is a perfect, moisture-free keepsake that will stay beautiful for years.
My workspace is usually a bit of a creative mess, but that is where the real work happens. When you entrust me with your wedding varmalas, a loved one's memento, or even a pet's fur, I treat it as a part of your story, not just another project.
The Resin Journey
- Flower Drying: This is where it starts. I use high-quality silica gel to draw out moisture while preserving the shape and color of your blooms. I frequently recharge the gel to ensure it stays effective, as I am committed to keeping your memories as close to their original state as possible.
- Layering & Pouring: Resin isn't a 'one-pour' task. I pour layer by layer, especially for 3D keepsakes like monogram lamps or deep frames. This allows me to arrange flowers, add gold foil, or set personal photos without them floating or shifting.
- The Finish: After the curing process, I sand the edges and do a final flood coat to get that glass-like, bubble-free finish you see on my clocks and nameplates.
It takes patience, sometimes weeks of curing, but that is how I turn something fleeting into something you can touch and see every day. Aapki yaadein (your memories), made by my hands, always with you.
