Stop guessing and start creating. I teach you the full process—from selecting raw wood slabs to pouring, curing, and polishing that glass-like finish.

The journey of a resin table begins with the raw material. Here, we are cutting a large log of wood with a chainsaw, the first step in shaping the natural wood slabs for our projects.

Precision is key in woodworking. This video shows the process of cutting and shaping a wood slab, ensuring the edges are perfect before it's prepared for the resin pour.

We have a fresh stock of natural wood slabs, each with unique grains and live edges, ready to be transformed into beautiful river tables. Selecting the right piece of wood is an art in itself.

A student learns to use a woodcutting tool under my guidance. Our workshops emphasize hands-on learning with all the necessary equipment for woodworking and resin art.

Students work together to construct a large mold for a resin table. Learning to build a leak-proof mold is a fundamental skill for any large-scale resin project.

A student gets hands-on experience with wood sanding and mold making. In this daily vlog clip, you can see the effort that goes into preparing for a large table pour.

Teamwork in action at our workshop. I am guiding an interior design team as they prepare a large wood slab inside a mold, getting it ready for the first resin pour.

The magic begins with the pour. Here, we are creating a river table with a stunning ocean theme, complete with realistic waves and embedded starfish.

About The Complete Resin Table Journey (From Wood to Wow)

Everyone focuses on the resin pour, but the real secret to a table that lasts is in the wood prep. If you don't seal the live edges properly, you’ll get bubbles forever. In my classes, we don't rush. We spend real time selecting the slab, cutting it with precision, and building a leak-proof mold that ensures your resin stays where it belongs—on the table, not on your studio floor.

Beyond the Pour: The Real Process

Most people think making a river table is just about mixing resin and waiting. Truth is, if you skip the foundation, the result will crack, warp, or yellow within months. I teach you the 'no-shortcut' way that I learned through years of trial and error.

1. Wood Selection & Prep Everything starts here. You need to identify moisture content, grain patterns, and live edges that won't rot. We cover how to handle raw logs, cut them, and treat the wood so it doesn't fight against the resin later.

2. Mold Construction If your mold leaks, your project is ruined. I show you how to build a structural, leak-proof mold using industrial-grade materials. This is the difference between a table that looks amateur and one that looks like it came from a gallery.

3. The Science of Resin Mixing ratios, temperature control, and bubble elimination. We don't just pour; we use vacuum and torch techniques to ensure crystal clarity. You'll learn how to create deep ocean effects, color gradients, and metallic swirls that actually look natural.

4. Sanding & Buffing This is where the magic happens. You’ll learn to use industrial sanders, from 80-grit to 2000-grit, to get that mirror-finish. If you want to start a business, this step is what you sell.
