About Design a Statement Coffee Table
You do not need any prior woodworking or art experience to make a professional-looking geode table. I provide the live-edge MDF base, metal legs, and high-quality resin, but keep in mind that the resin needs 24 to 48 hours to cure safely. This means you will need to collect your finished table a day or two after the workshop, once it is completely set.
This workshop is about slowing down and creating something you can actually use in your home. We start with an irregular live-edge style base, and from there, you choose your color palette. Whether you want a deep ocean blue or a marble effect with yellow sapphire stones, I guide you through the layering and lacing techniques that give resin its unique look.
We use industrial-grade, non-yellowing epoxy and real crystals to make sure your table isn't just a project, but a durable piece of decor. I show you how to use the heat gun and blow torch to remove bubbles and move the resin to create those natural, flowing patterns. It is surprisingly meditative to watch the layers settle.
This is a 4-hour intensive masterclass, which includes a break, so bring a friend or come solo to meet new people. It is a perfect creative outlet if you want to switch off from your routine and walk away with a statement piece of furniture that you made with your own hands.
