The Reading Grounds Collective: Design & Knowledge Sharing
Our studio is more than a design office. It is a shared space where we host the Reading Series to observe, sketch, and learn from the world around us before we build.

About The Reading Grounds Collective
Our Reading Series is where our studio culture comes to life. We invite guests and team members to share observations—from ancient architectural ruins to contemporary urban mapping—so we can challenge our own perspectives before beginning any landscape design project.
Architecture is often about building, but for us, it starts with looking. The Reading Series is our way of slowing down in a fast-paced city. We host these sessions in our Jayanagar studio to spark conversations that might otherwise get lost in the day-to-day grind of project management.
When we discuss topics like 'Reading Ruins' or urban mapping, we are not just talking theory. We are looking for patterns. We sketch, we travel, and we debate. These habits directly feed into our landscape and ecological planning work. For example, understanding how an old structure sits in its environment helps us design more responsive softscapes and community commons.
We invite our community to join these discussions. Whether you are a student, a designer, or someone curious about the city, there is usually a seat for you here. We keep these events casual and open because we believe that the best ideas do not come from a desk, but from shared observation and collective curiosity about our neighbourhood parks and shared spaces. This constant engagement ensures that when we finally do touch the soil, we do so with a deeper understanding of the land.
Reading Grounds
We are a collective of design thinkers and storytellers working out of Jayanagar. Our studio is less of an office and more of a laboratory, where we host our Reading Series to keep our curiosity sharp. We believe that by understanding the stories behind the land, we can create better, more empathetic spaces for the community.
