About Baby Shower & Maternity Mehandi
For baby shower bookings, I apply the design personally to ensure the portrait details are precise. Because this is a 3-to-4-hour process, I recommend scheduling us in a comfortable space at your home where you can relax while we work on the intricate baby motifs and scripts.
I don't use set templates for maternity mehandi. Every mom-to-be has a different story, so we start by choosing elements that matter to you. Whether it is 'Aai' and 'Baba' scripts, footprints, cradles, or a silhouette of you and your partner, everything is drawn freehand. You can bring your own ideas, or we can mix and match. I often do portraits on the palms and text scripts on the arms. If you have a specific date, a name, or a nickname for the baby, let's include it to make it yours.
I use triple-sifted organic henna soaked for 24 hours to get that deep stain without any chemicals. This is especially important during pregnancy when you need to be careful about what touches your skin. Since these sessions are long, I typically come to your home in Mumbai. We will need a comfortable place to sit, ideally with good lighting, so I can give you my full attention. For those who want more than just the basics, I can also include traditional mandala work or floral trails to frame the main baby-themed elements.
