Makeup Masterclass: Professional Tips & Techniques
Dekhiye, learning is a continuous process. Whether you are a bride preparing for your big day or a student looking to improve your craft, these techniques are exactly what I use in my studio to achieve a flawless, long-lasting finish.
Dekhiye, this is a color wheel class. I am explaining the difference between monochromatic eye makeup, which uses shades from the same color family, for a subtle look.
Here, I am teaching about polychromatic eye makeup. This technique uses complementary colors from the color wheel to create a vibrant, multi-toned look.
A simple jugaad for a flawless foundation. I spray a makeup fixer directly onto the skin before blending the foundation. This makes the base smooth, glossy, and transfer-proof.
How to hide fine lines on mature skin. I gently stretch the skin while blending the foundation. This prevents the product from settling into lines and creates a smoother finish.
This is how I hide pigmentation. Instead of using a bright orange corrector, I use a skin-toned neutralizer from my MAC palette. This covers the darkness in one step.
A quick tip for easy contouring. I always blend the contour line upwards, never down. This gives the face a lifted effect rather than dragging it down.
How to do nose contouring. To make the nose appear slimmer, I create two straight, close lines on either side and blend them carefully.
Here is how to apply liquid glitter without fallout. I first put the product on the back of my hand, then pick it up with a brush and gently press it onto the eyelid.
For loose powder glitter, the trick is to use glitter glue. I apply a thin layer of glue on the eyelid first, then press the glitter on top to make it stick perfectly.
A simple trick for applying gel liner as kajal. I use a thin brush to apply it to the waterline for a dark, long-lasting effect that won't smudge.
About Makeup Masterclass: My Tips & Tricks
Dekhiye, most people use setting spray only as the final step. I use a specific trick: spray your makeup fixer directly on the skin before you start blending your foundation. This simple step helps create a smooth, glossy base that stays transfer-proof for hours. It is one of the small, technical details I teach to ensure your makeup never looks dry or powdery.
Master the Base
When working on mature skin, I avoid dragging the product. Instead, I stretch the skin gently while blending the foundation. This stops product from settling into fine lines. For pigmentation, I skip the bright orange corrector if possible and use a skin-toned neutralizer from my palette. It hides the darkness in one step, making the base look natural rather than heavy.
Eye Makeup Secrets
Whether it is polychromatic or monochromatic eye makeup, the secret is in the blending and the tools. To apply loose glitter without the mess, always use a dedicated glitter glue on the lid first. When applying liquid glitter, pick the product up with a brush from the back of your hand, not directly from the applicator. This gives you complete control over the intensity.
