About this collection
Adorning bridal feet requires a different kind of patience and precision than hands. I focus on creating symmetry and flow that complements your jewelry, specifically your payals and bichiyas. Whether you prefer dense, traditional motifs like peacocks or subtle, modern floral patterns, I ensure the design balance is perfect so it enhances your overall bridal look without overpowering your attire.
My Approach to Bridal Feet Art
Feet have a unique texture compared to hands, and the skin is thicker, which means the henna stain develops differently. I use a triple-sifted, 100% natural organic henna paste that ensures a rich, dark burgundy stain that lasts through your wedding festivities.
Styles to Match Your Wedding Theme
- The Royal Traditional: If you are opting for a classic look, I incorporate architectural elements like jharokhas, elephants, and heavy jaali work. This style pairs beautifully with heavy lehengas and traditional gold anklets.
- Elegant & Floral: For the modern bride, I recommend delicate vines, mandala centerpieces, and lotus motifs. This is perfect if you want a clean, sophisticated look that highlights your feet.
- Cohesive Art: Many brides want their hands and feet to match. I specialize in 'continuity of art,' where the motifs on your feet mirror the story or elements we have illustrated on your hands, creating a unified bridal theme from head to toe.
Practical Considerations
Because you will be standing and walking during your pheras and other ceremonies, the application needs to be durable. I always finish the design with a lemon and sugar sealant, which locks in the moisture and allows the henna to release its deepest color. Before we finalize your design, I encourage you to show me your footwear or anklets so I can ensure the mehndi pattern frames them perfectly.
