This is the heart of our offerings, a glimpse into the vibrant spiritual atmosphere we cultivate. We have selected these moments to convey the essence of our gatherings, from the grandeur of our annual festivals to the quiet devotion of our weekly Satsang.
Pournami: Full Moon Celebrations
We gather every full moon for spiritual celebrations at our Mekhri Circle shrine. These evenings are filled with devotional music (Ramana Bhajans), sacred rituals like Puja and Pradakshina, and often feature special offerings of classical dance or music, concluding with shared Prasadam.
Major Annual Festivals
We host several large-scale annual festivals that are cornerstones of our calendar. Events like the all-night Maha Sivaratri, Ramana Aradhana, Ramana Jayanthi, and Karthigai Deepam bring our community together for extended periods of music, dance, theatre, and worship.
The Arts as Offering: Natya, Sangeetham & Theatre
For us, the performing arts are a profound form of worship and self-enquiry. Our events feature a rich variety of cultural offerings, including Bharatanatyam, Kuchupudi, and Kathak dance, Carnatic music concerts (Ramananjali), and unique theatre productions that explore spiritual themes.
National Seminars & Spiritual Discourses
We regularly host national seminars and Pravachanams (spiritual discourses) featuring eminent scholars and spiritual teachers. These sessions delve deep into the teachings of Ramana Maharshi, covering topics from self-enquiry to the influence of his philosophy on daily life.
Youth & Student Offerings
We are dedicated to nurturing the next generation on the spiritual path through art. Our RAISE program (Ramana Art-form Interventions for Self-awareness and Excellence) and other student-focused events provide a platform for children and young artistes to perform and engage with spiritual teachings.
Special Commemorations & Gatherings
We observe several special days throughout the year to honor key figures and moments in the Ramana lineage. These include Guru Poornima, Jnanodaya Day (Enlightenment Day), Mother's Day (celebrating Mother Azhagammal), and memorial programs for revered devotees.
Our Weekly Gathering: Ramana Satsang
Every Sunday, we hold our Ramana Satsang at the Mekhri Circle shrine. All are welcome to join us for a morning of prayer, chanting, devotional Bhajans, and talks on the life and teachings of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi.
