Behind the Scenes: How We Create Your Performance
A great show doesn't just happen. From studio rehearsals at R1 to stage blocking and costume prep, this is the work that goes into every performance.
A rehearsal video with my team before a big show. We practice relentlessly to ensure our group choreography is sharp, synchronized, and ready for the stage.
A montage of our journey to a New Year's event in Patna, Bihar. This shows the entire process: arriving at the venue, preparing our vibrant costumes, and running through the choreography on stage.
About The Process: Behind The Scenes
Before the lights go up, we have already spent hours on stage blocking and sound checks. Whether we are performing at a corporate gala or a private event, I personally supervise the lighting cues, costume fittings, and transitions to ensure every movement is seamless. You are not just booking a dancer; you are getting a fully produced show where every detail, from the music mix to the group spacing, is planned well before the event starts.
From Studio to Stage
Every performance starts at the R1 Dance Studio in Yelahanka. My team and I believe that the 'josh' (energy) you see on stage is only possible because of the discipline we maintain in the rehearsal room. When we design choreography, we are thinking about how it will look from every angle of your venue.
Our Preparation Process
- Conceptualization: We don't just pick a song. We identify the vibe of your event, whether it is a high-energy New Year bash or a cultural festival, and build the sequence to match.
- Rehearsal Discipline: For group spectacles, we practice complex formations and lifts until every dancer is synchronized. If you have non-dancers joining in, we break the steps down to make them manageable and fun.
- Logistics: From traveling to venues like Patna for galas to coordinating with your DJ on audio cues, we handle the technical side so you don't have to worry about a thing.
- Costume & Styling: We plan our outfits to fit the theme, ensuring they are not just vibrant, but also practical for the dance moves we have planned.
Why Planning Matters
Whether it is a 10-minute solo medley or a 30-minute group production, I treat every event like a professional stage show. By arriving 2 to 3 hours early for stage blocking and sound checks, we ensure that the lighting, music, and floor space are exactly what we need to perform our best. It is this attention to detail that brings the 'Bhasad Macha' energy to your event without any last-minute stress.
