The Artist's Voice: My Philosophy & Creative Process
Art is not just a profession for me; it is my sadhana. Here, I share the thoughts, spiritual energy, and devotion that guide every stroke of my brush.
I believe art is for everyone, not just VVIPs. While my paintings are a luxury, I am happy that they are now reaching the homes of common people who appreciate their value and beauty.
What is 'Moksha' for an artist? For me, it is that moment of completion when I look at a finished painting and see no flaws. It is the moment my creation reaches its destination.
In the age of AI, what is the value of handmade art? I believe the emotion, dedication, and spiritual energy of a handmade painting can never be replicated by a machine. The soul of the artist is in the work.
My mother once told me that with Krishna by my side, I am never alone. This belief gives me strength. I am just the medium; it is His power that flows through my brush.
Life's journey involves walking on both embers and flowers. True experience comes from 'tapasya' or austerity. Success in any field, including art, is born from discipline and love for the craft.
While I appreciate many Indian art forms like Mithila painting, the art of Rajasthan is closest to my heart. The state itself is a living heritage, with art that speaks from every wall and corner.
When asked who I credit my success to, my answer is always the same: my Thakur Ji and my mother. Every award and recognition is a result of their grace and blessings.
My spiritual 'sadhana' is the soul of my art. Just as a phone needs charging, I charge my inner battery with mantras and devotion. This divine energy then flows into every part of my being and my work.
The body is like a chariot, and our five senses are the horses running in different directions. The mind is the rein that controls them. This ancient analogy from the scriptures is a powerful guide for life.
How does one begin a spiritual life in this material world? The answer lies in the power of the divine name. Chanting a mantra, be it 'Hare Krishna' or 'Radha Radha,' provides immense support.
About The Artist's Voice: Philosophy & Process
People often ask if handmade art is better than digital prints. My answer is simple: digital art is a product of commands, but handmade art carries the vibrations of the artist. When you commission a piece, you aren't just buying a canvas; you are bringing a piece of my devotion and the energy of my daily sadhana into your home. It creates a presence in the room that a machine simply cannot replicate.
Why Handmade Art Matters
In a world of mass-produced prints and AI-generated images, there is a deep need for things that possess a soul. When I paint a deity or a portrait, I am not just filling colors within lines. I am engaged in a conversation with my canvas. Each brushstroke is preceded by hours of contemplation, chanting, and a state of mind I call sadhana.
The Role of 'Bhav' (Emotion)
Just as food cooked with love nourishes the soul, art created with bhav brings peace to a space. People often ask why my paintings feel 'alive'. It is because I approach the canvas as a medium for the divine, not as a commercial product. Whether it is a portrait of a guru or a scene from the Bhagavad Gita, the intention remains the same—to create a bridge between the physical and the spiritual.
My Creative Process
I do not rush. My work is not measured in hours but in the depth of focus. When you bring an artwork into your living room or mandir, it sets the tone for your daily life. That is why I consult with you to understand your vision and spiritual inclination. We discuss not just the colors or the frame, but what feeling you want to invoke—tranquility, strength, or devotion. This ensures that the final piece feels like it was always meant for your space.
