Signature Celebrity Styling & Character Wardrobe
I see styling as a form of storytelling. From crafting red carpet moments for stars like Kajol to building character identities for film, I focus on the details that make a look powerful, personal, and authentic.
For Kajol's first look for the film 'Maa', we channeled the powerful energy of Goddess Kali. This custom black saree with a gold corset blouse, designed as modern armor, embodies a raw, fierce, and unapologetic spirit.
This look for Ajay Devgn at the 'Son of Sardaar 2' trailer launch features a structured Prada denim jacket and a sharp tie, creating a modern and sophisticated statement in menswear.
A behind the scenes look at building the character of 'Rabia' for Mrunal Thakur. It’s all in the details: mixing metals, layering custom turquoise pieces, and stacking rings to reflect her beautiful chaos.
For Kubbra Sait's character 'Mehwish', we created this final look to celebrate her unapologetic and chaotic energy. This sparkling sheer dress captures the stardust that makes her character shine.
For a movie premiere, we styled Kajol in this luminous white and gold saree. The look is dreamy and ethereal, designed to radiate pure moonshine on the red carpet.
Power dressing is about confidence. For Jyotika's feature in The Hollywood Reporter, I designed this androgynous pinstripe suit with a strong shoulder and wide-leg trousers to create a look that is both dominant and effortlessly cool.
Wedding styling is about creating dream-like moments. Here, Nysa Devgan wears a gorgeous Banarasi brocade lehenga, combining traditional weaving with a modern silhouette for a friend's wedding.
A sneak peek from the set, showing the collaborative process of finalizing an iconic wedding scene look. This is where the magic of costume design for film comes to life, with every detail perfected by the team.
About Featured
When I build a look, I focus on the mix of high-fashion designer pieces and raw, authentic finds to tell a story. For instance, when styling a character like Rabia, I used mixed metals, layered turquoise jewelry, and unconventional patterns to represent her chaotic, creative energy. I do not just pull outfits; I build a look that reflects a specific personality, ensuring every element has an intention behind it.
My process is rarely just about the clothes. Whether I am prepping for a red carpet appearance or a multi-day film shoot, I start with a moodboard and Pantone-specific color mapping to establish a narrative. This involves everything from sourcing rare finds in local bazaars to booking designer appointments for custom alterations.
I believe the magic happens in the logistics. My team and I handle everything from fabric selection—focusing on rich Indian handlooms like Banarasi and Chanderi—to the final on-site draping. For movie schedules, we plan for a mix of statement looks, semi-formals, and travel outfits, always keeping backup options for those last-minute changes. We also coordinate with hair and makeup artists to ensure the glam brief perfectly matches the wardrobe.
My collaboration extends to photographers and directors, as we adjust lighting and camera angles to complement the textures of the fabric. Styling is a team sport, and I rely on my assistants and partners to ensure that every fit is perfect and every accessory is positioned to enhance the overall story.
