Standard Enamel Painting for Wood & Metal
Scope & Preparation
- Surface Prep: Mechanical or hand sanding (grit 80/120) to remove loose paint and create adhesion.
- Minor Repairs: Filling small cracks, nail holes, and dents using standard wood putty.
- Protection: Masking of floors, handles, and adjacent walls using newspapers and tape.
Material & Application
- Primer: 1 coat of Wood/Metal primer for uniform absorption and rust protection.
- Paint Grade: Oil-based Premium Gloss or Satin Enamel (e.g., Asian Paints Apcolite).
- Method: 2 coats applied via brush or roller. Note: Faint brush marks are standard for this grade.
Post-Work Service
- Cleaning: Removal of masking newspapers and dry sweeping of the work area.
- Touch-ups: Final round of corrections before handover.
Natural Wood Polishing (Melamine or Hand PU)
Scope & Preparation
- Stripping: Scraping off old varnish or polish using chemical strippers if required for re-polishing.
- Sanding: Extensive sequence starting from grit 80 up to 320/400 for a smooth base.
- Staining: Application of wood stain (Walnut, Teak, etc.) to match furniture or change tone.
Material & Finish
- Material: 2-Component Melamine or 1-Component PU (Hand applied).
- Sealer: 1-2 coats of sealer to fill wood pores.
- Top Coat: 2 coats of Clear Finish (Glossy, Matte, or Satin).
- Technique: Application via soft cloth (fad) or high-quality brush.
Miscellaneous
- Protection: Masking of hinges, handles, and glass panels.
- Warranty: 1-year warranty against peeling (excludes physical damage).
Luxury PU Spray Finishing (Solid Color)
Surface Engineering
- Smoothing: Application of Polyester Putty (Lambi) to completely hide wood grain for a plastic-like flatness.
- Base Treatment: Waterproofing of edges to prevent moisture ingress.
- Dust Control: Creation of a temporary plastic booth to minimize dust on wet paint.
Paint System
- Primer: Specialized PU White Primer (2 coats) with sanding between coats.
- Top Coat: 2-3 coats of 2K Opaque PU Paint (High Gloss or Soft-Matte).
- Color: Unlimited color mixing options (RAL shades, Pantones).
Professional Execution
- Application: Spray gun application using a compressor (no brush work).
- Curing: 24-48 hours allowed between coats for proper drying.
- Buffing: Final buffing for High Gloss finishes to remove minor imperfections.
