Alemari at Work: Behind My Lens and Gear
My camera and drone are my eyes. This is a look at the person behind the lens, the gear I trust, and how I find those quiet, real moments in the middle of a big celebration.

A fun, candid moment at an event where two young boys are fascinated by my drone. It's always a joy to see this curiosity and share a bit of the magic of filmmaking.
About this collection
People often ask about the drone shots, but the real work happens in the setup. I am currently shooting with a new Sony setup because I need gear that handles the low light of evening rituals as well as the brightness of a Karnataka beach wedding without missing the raw emotion of a candid laugh.
I call myself an Alemari because I am always on the move, searching for life behind the lens. Filming for me is not a business, it is a jivanada hudukata (search for life). When you see me at your event, you will not see a videographer shouting orders for staged poses. You will see me moving quietly through the crowd, waiting for the moments that actually matter.
My approach to cinematography in Karnataka is deeply tied to our landscapes. Whether I am shooting a pre-wedding film on a misty hill in Coorg or a wedding ritual in a busy Mangalore hall, I use my equipment to blend into the background. I have recently upgraded my gear to professional Sony cinema-grade cameras, which allows me to capture 4K visuals even when the lighting is tricky.
I treat every project as a movie. My team and I focus on:
- Candid Storytelling: We prioritize unscripted moments over forced smiles.
- Dynamic Aerials: Using FPV and cinematic drones to show the scale of your venue.
- Authentic Audio: Capturing the real sounds of the ceremony, not just the background music.
I believe in myself, new gear, and the stories I have yet to tell. If you are looking for someone to document your day in a way that feels honest, perhaps our paths are meant to cross. Sibbeku anta idre sikke sigutte (if it is meant to be, it will be).
