About this collection

Filming cultural traditions requires patience, not just a camera. I do not set up lights or tell people where to stand, as I prefer to wait for the right moment, the real prayer, and the genuine energy of the crowd. Whether it is a late-night temple procession or a crowded festival, I move quietly to document the soul of the event without interrupting your devotion.

Cultural events in Karnataka, such as the Mysore Dasara or rituals at Kukke Subrahmanya, are about rhythm and atmosphere. When I am at a temple festival or a village ritual, my aim is to capture that vibration. I use drone footage to show the scale of the gathering, like the vast crowds at Kottiyoor, but I also keep the camera close to the ground to catch the small details. This means focusing on a flickering diya, the intensity in a devotee's eyes, or the drum beats during a procession.

Cultural documentation is not about perfect posing. It is about endurance and timing. Sometimes, it means working in the rain or through the night to ensure the full story of the festival is told. I treat every religious event and community celebration with the same respect I would give a wedding. It is about preserving the life within our traditions. This approach ensures you get a film that feels like a memory rather than a production.

I am Puneeth, an Alemari, always on the road finding stories behind the lens. My camera is how I read the book of life here in Karnataka, from the quietest shrines to the loudest festivals. If you want someone who understands the pulse of our traditions and will not treat your event like just another job, we should talk.

Finding the right storyteller
