Kids Roller Skating Classes at Tilak Public School
We turn energy into skill on our outdoor track in Nerul. Our skating program focuses on balance, confidence, and safety for every child, from beginner to intermediate levels.
A smile of pure joy while learning a new skill. We believe roller skating is about building confidence and having fun, and our coaching ensures a safe and encouraging space for every child to find their balance.
This is what our training sessions look like: a mix of warm-up exercises, guided drills with cones, and lots of practice. Our coaches are right there on the track, helping young skaters improve their form and technique step by step.
From practice to podium. We are incredibly proud of our student Riaan for his amazing performance at the Somaiya Roller Skating Championship. This is what dedication and consistent training can achieve.
Focus and determination on wheels. This young skater is fully equipped with safety gear, concentrating on his posture and glide during a practice session on our Nerul track.
Ready to join the fun? Our roller skating classes for kids run three evenings a week. All the details you need to get your child started on their skating journey are right here.
About Featured
Before your child hits the track, keep in mind that we prioritize safety as much as speed. We require full protective gear—helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards—for every session. This isn't just about preventing scrapes; it is about giving kids the mental freedom to try new moves without fear of getting hurt, which is the fastest way to build real skating confidence.
Our Approach to Skating
Our roller skating program at Tilak Public School is designed to foster both physical ability and resilience. We believe in the ‘Kar lenge’ (we will get it done) spirit, helping children push past the hesitation that often comes with learning a new skill. Whether your child is just starting with basic balance or is ready for cone weaving and speed drills, our coaches focus on individual progress.
What the Training Covers
- Beginners: We start with the fundamentals—standing, safe falling mechanics, and basic striding. The goal is to get comfortable on wheels.
- Intermediates: Students move on to more technical skills, including crossover techniques, slalom (cone weaving), and maintaining posture at higher speeds.
- Conditioning: Skating is physically demanding. Our sessions include balance training and endurance laps that translate well to other sports.
Training Schedule & Logistics
We operate on a group batch model with 15 to 25 students, ensuring kids learn to skate in a social, team-oriented environment.
- Days: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
- Time: 6:45 PM to 8:00 PM.
- Location: The outdoor paved concrete track at Tilak Public School, Nerul.
We do not just teach them to skate; we create a space where they learn to handle both wins and losses. We have seen shy kids find their confidence on this track, and we would love for your child to be part of the community.
